  1. A taste of Basel, Switzerland - Part 1

As a child, I spent a few years in Basel, Switzerland. I went to school there for about three years, and during that time grew a major affection for this town. It always feels like home, even though I wasn't there as long as one might expect. During those years, I learned Swiss German and proper German (Hoch Duetsche). Public transportation negated the need for anything; I was able to take a tram anywhere I needed, and beyond that I'd strike out on foot. I explored in every direction possible, ...

  2. New Tank!

I saw an add on craigslist for a big setup on Sat, contacted the guy, and just bought it today. The tank itself isn't too big, it looks like its just a 125g, but the whole cabinet setup is very big. There are two tall cabinets that go on either end of the tank, a base, a cabinet stand, a hood piece, and a filler panel for the back of each side cabinet to hide the closed loop piping. 3. shopping

    Hey everybody,
I LOVE to just wander through saltwater stores. Im wondering if anyone knows good ones in the southern california area. There is only one nearby in the high desert, but is pretty poor to say the least. I've been going to global aquatics in ontario (about 45 min away) and love it. But, im always on the lookout for new shops to check out. Thanks for any help!
  4. My Tank is now one month old

So here I am a month after I started and I am doing good. It started off kind of rough with the loss of a Elbi Angel as well as the mysterious disappearance of a Kohl Tang and a damaged swim bladder on a Fairy wrasse. I honestly think it was the collection method of who ever caught these guys as I got them from the same store at roughly the same time. During that time frame all of my parameters were dead on with nothing that stood out as beeing way off kilter. Right now I have 11 fish and all are ...
  5. TH3C1SC0K1D's Water Quality Test.

    Water Quality Log

I thought I would keep an active log to share with everyone concerning my water quality test. It will be updated weekly. The water changes that I conduct are minuscule (approximately 0.25 gallon per week). I personally don't agree with extremely large water changes because I feel that just when you have all your parameters correct then BAM water change throws everything off. This is just my thinking.
