My tank a 240, has 4 250watt 20K MH Lights and 4 T-5 54Watt actinic lights. I am not really happy with the light from the actinics. I was thinking about putting in some LED's but I have my lights about 12 inches off the water. I like it this way it gives me lots of room. Will LED lighs work this high off the water? -Steven

I am completely baffled by the upwards creeping salinity levels in my 20 long nano. I have had it running for 3 years and over that period of time the specific gravity has always crept up. I use a properly calibrated refractometer, top off with RODI, and regularly change water. I've asked around and no one has any idea what could be happening. Anyone here ever experience this?

hi all. i have a 29g sump and it runs fine. but my new pump will handle more flow so i want to upgrade.lol i have a 55g with a cracked center brace that i can use. i have the wife's permission to set it up downstairs and plumb it to my tank. the 29 has a ref, skimmer and return section. i was thinking to still use it, just as a skimmer and ref, then drain the water into the 55, half to the return section and half to another ref. the pump is the snapper hybrid, so will do around 1800g at 10'. ...
