  2. plumbing question.

I am restarting an old tank and have a question or two. My tank is a 135 flat back hex acrylic aquarium. I have built a pedestal style stand for it which i think will look great once finished (a carpenter buddy of mine is going to skin it for me.) the two corner overflows are rather small like 5" by 5". the manufacturer put in holes in the bottom of the overflows for 1" drains and 3/4" returns. OK, so I've had this multi stage plan going on for a while now, and it's finally starting to take shape. Since then I have had a 3, 8, 28, 33, 40, 90, and a 210 gallon tank at some point - the 210 is currently my main reef tank. Things never end though and since Maria has a love for all that saltwater has to offer the madness ...

  5. Playing with my new camera (Nikon D90)

While I was at MAX last weekend, I picked up a new camera. It's a Nikon D90 with a very nice Nikon 105mm Macro lens.

These were freehand shots, some taken from across the room and some standing in front of the tank. I just wanted to get a feel for the camera, which is quite the upgrade from my D70s.

First of all, here's my newest pet.

    And now for the reef.
