So recently My palys skirts have been looking really bad, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. I looked for Sundials, Zoa Spiders, Nudi, Nudi eggs and couldn't find anything! Well tonight while I was checking on Livestock while lights were out I saw the biggest pod ever! And he was munching on the skirt of these palys! I have 2 250 watt IceCap ballasts. One has a 14k hamilton and the other has a 12K Reeflux. By the way, both bulbs are almost identical to the eye. I noticed that once in a blue moon my hamilton bulb would flicker (when I say flicker I mean a very fast and subtle flicker, one can only notice when paying close attention) but this would occur for about a minute and disappear for a long while. I am in the process of removing the plastic trim and cross braces from a glass aquarium, so I can add euro-bracing around the top. My tank is a 180, so it is 1/2" thick glass. Now, that can get kind of expensive, buying 3 inch by 72 inch strips of 1/2" glass, so I am going to use a different technique of 3/8" glass on the inside and another 3/8" glass on top.
