For absolute emergencies only
Hey i have had a filter sock for about a month now and i have been just running it under water. It doesn't seem efficient enough because it still has a blackish tint to it. I have read to turn it inside out then wash it with bleach in a washing machine. I want to know the most efficient way in cleaning a filter sock please. Thanks all.
Well I noticed some of my Zoa's missing about a month ago, a few nights ago I seen this worm stretched out on the sandbed. Since I have already removed one elucid worm, I really didn't look forward to this, but it had to be done. I came home today and removed the three rocks (with corals) on top of the rocks it was last seen in. I reacted too quickly and placed my fish in a 40 gal breeder tank I had turned into a sump (it had been water tested previously, but the first time it had had saltwater in it was only several hours before). It was completely new and I tried to place all my livestock and coral ...
I thought my tank was going well but for a couple of months now I just can't seem to get rid of this algea on my sand and the hair algea on my tank walls. My tank has been setup for about a year and a half. I've tested my water myself and had it tested at the local "saltwater warehouse" in Dayton and it falls within parameters. I've done numerous water changes usually every fortnight. ...
