  1. Just Need to Vent...

Okay - long time reader, first time blogger here.

I have a beautiful 100G Elos tank. Wonderful landscaping (thanks to the wife designing it), and after moving from Florida to Chicago, some amazing frags growing out that I managed to save in the reset. Unfortunately, the move several months ago claimed about 50% of my fish. I was quite sad, but made herioc efforts to keep them healthy during the move and aside from giving them away to a stable tank - did all I could.

  2. Shipped CUC during July in Texas

Reefs2go had a special earlier this week, announcing it on the DFWMAS forums since they are a sponsor. The first 50 orders got free shipping (USPS Priority Mail), so I jumped on the deal. For $40, I got ceriths, astreas, margarita snails, nassarius snails,a lettuce nudibranch and some blue leg hermits. The box shipped out Wednesday for a Friday delivery, and the bags felt warm. Too warm to the point I decided to measure it with a thermometer.

  4. Kole Man...You gots to have Kole...

Finally got a decent picture of my new Kole Tang.

I had to crank the ISO up to 1600 since he never stops moving and I don't have a very fast lens, so there's a bit of noise. Like the photo's I found on the internet before buying him, photo's just don't do the colors of this gorgeous fish justice.

I played around with some post processing and at least got the colors a bit truer.

  5. To foam or not to foam......

I am getting set up to receive my new tank, which will go on a metal stand. Should I use that white insulation stuff under the tank to take up any gaps. I also plan on using a piece of plywood on top of the stand. The pic of the stand shows how versatile it is as it is upside down.
What is the general opinion out there.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] ...
