Last night, while cleaning out my living room, I accidentally got one of the American DJ switch assemblies wet. I quickly unplugged it and dried it off, and today I opened it up for inspection. What I discovered was a discolored spot at one of the connections. There was no water inside, fortunately. Here's how to open one up. This definitely turned into more than I expected, but I'd love any input. With the location of my wall outlets/circuits, where all the hardware is, and my desire to distribute electrical load as much as possible, I built this power distribution panel. I will have power from three 20 amp circuits coming into this panel (though only 2 are active right now; the fourth 20A circuit is dedicated to the AC system). After about a week of researching and thinking and reading some more I decided to try building a "zapper". I don't have any pest anemones but I've been looking for away to remove stray mushrooms without pulling the rock and chiseling them off. After all my reading and thinking I went out and got some supplies. I dug out some non-copper speaker wire and some used oxygen tubing out of my grandpa's garage.
