  1. Something New!

I went to the LFS to pick up some regular maintenance things and checked out the coral tank only to see a poor little Green Slimer coral. It arrived at the LFS not it to great of shape. The owner gave it to me at a large discount needless to say. Here is a pic of it...notice the brown on it...Right now I have it on the sand bed but plan to slowly move it up in my tank. I wanted to give it time to really acclimate to my tank. Any suggestions on making it more healthy?

The wall we intend to place Tibet in. This was us lining everything up to make sure both myself and my other half could enjoy a good view of the tank. I'm short, he's tall, but we found somewhere to meet in the middle.

After much demo this is what we had left. We appropriated the basement bathroom to be our fishroom, and have opted to move the bathroom to a more appropriate space.

  3. My 240g upgrade

Well after a few years in the hobby I feel its time for an upgrade. What better time to look for a larger tank than when the wife is out of town.

So I started searching for a larger tank, luck lead me to a nice 240g along with 2 ice cap ballast's, rubbermaid holding tank, reef flo pump, and a whole lot of plumbing.

Step 1. Call wife and tell her I'm buying a tank-check

Step 2. Find a place to put it-Check

Step 3. Clean out spot-ummm ya heres ...

  4. SPS Corals

    Hey guy's,

I'm new to keeping SPS corals. A few day's ago I picked up a couple of Acro's and Milli's, I live in Sydney Australia, you wouldn't believe how hard it is for us to buy SPS, all our collectors prefer to ship them to you guy's, rather than to sell to local people, must be better money? Any way, my question is, would I be correct in saying that if my SPS are showing polyp extension then they are happy? I currently have them sitting at the bottom of the tank. I can see that ...

  5. New Tank Up and Running

After nearly a year with no aquarium, I made my first additions to my new setup. I previously had a 55 gallon mixed reef, with plans to upgrade to a 125 gallon mixed reef utilizing an empty 125 gallon tank that I'd bought from a friend. After having to break down the 55 gallon prior to moving across the state, I decided that I never wanted to move a large tank again......After settling into our new house, I started to get the itch for a tank again, but........we didn't have plans to stay in this ...
