I can't see your picture, but I can provide my own. FYI, in the comments (replies) field, you have to use the URL to show an image, like hosting it on Photobucket or Flikr. Attachments only work in the original entry.

@ Dread- hey when our corals grow out a bit maybe we can do some swapping!

@ douwat2play-your tank is so clean!! What do you do to keep the algae out?

@ Agsonsoo- what is the measurements on ya frag tank? Did you make or buy it? If you bought it do you have a link? I don't see filtration? Also very nice grown SPS! How many gallons is your DT? One more question please-What kind of Monti is that left side by glass center. I love Montis!

@ Melev- want to trade tanks? ;-p j/k

The frag tank is a 5 gallon (20"L x 15"W x 5"D). It's an Advance Acrylics all-in-one tank with filter baffles in the back section of the tank. This allows you to place carbon and live rock rubble for filtration, without the need to use a sump. It was mainly designed as a portable frag swap tank. It's sell for around $75-$100.

My DT is a 65 gallon rounded corners, bow-front glass tank.

The monti is really a green and red Chalice !

Thanks for the info Agsansoo! I want one of those frag tanks. I guess I will google the name and see who sells it. You have some very nice setups. I knew if I said Monti it would turn out something else..lol. Wow, the Chalice is big..nice!

Probably be faster if you had melev build you one. Advance Acrylics web-site doesn't work.

thanks hat! Nothing special, I only have one fish, that I spot feed a couple of pieces of food every other day, and I do a 1 gallon water change every 3 days. then of course the daily Magfloat glass scrub. Also I have 5 cerith snails, 3 nassarius snails, a bunch of hitchhiker Stomatella snails; so a big clean up crew for a small tank, which I'm sure helps.

Here's mine from today. Lousy shot, I was in a hurry. One of my cromis disappeared recently, my monti is bleaching, my frogspawn isn't expanding and the blasted brown hair algae is coming back.
  16. Hat39406's Avatar
Douwant2play, yeah I need more clean up crews. All I have is 1 cleaner shrimp, 2 peppermint shrimps, 5 snails, and 5 hermits. I definitely need some more snails and hermits. I'm going to get a emerald crab soon I hope.

Yeah Melev, how much would it cost "you believe" on estimate to build me that frag tank. (my cost) Really just the rectangle. I would put my own filter. Or price with false back self contained filer in rear. That would be sweet.

It will all be ok Phil, everything is prolly getting use to that new sump you installed. If I look at my tank algae pops up..lol. Your tank looks good and everything will be back to normal soon I believe.
  18. Alaska_Phil's Avatar
Hope you're right, but it is a bit frustrating right now since things were going pretty well before I added the sump.
  19. melev's Avatar
Phil, you need to manually remove as much of that as you can. That way your crew can clean up what is left, which is should be able to keep up with.

    Hat, I'd need some dimensions.
  20. Alaska_Phil's Avatar
Yep, I remove as much as I can each weekend. I'm due to restock my clean-up crew too. I've been holding off till I finished the upgrades though. I'll be putting together a turf scrubber this weekend. Then ordering new clean-up crews.
