October 10th makes the reef 23 months old today. It's been doing quite well, and runs on autopilot. I have a few new frags in the frag tank that will soon be placed in the reef, and I have to determine the perfect spots for those. Here are some new pictures taken today.

One of my recent blogs, I mentioned how my frag tank is full, and for most of this year I've spoken about making a new frag tank that stands alone. Separate from the main reef,
it will be a secondary system in case the main one fails so I have extra corals from the original colonies.




This is where it will go. I've decided to make the frag tank 48" long x 18" wide x 16" tall. While there's room for a longer wider tank, I don't want to block my path to the workshop.




I'm debating what to do with the outlet on the wall. Maybe I'll move it up, or split it to put one above for lights and one below for gear. I'm also thinking about logistics for this setup.

This group has really grown in, and I have to constantly move them apart. I've pretty much given up on smoothing the sandbed.










I will be installing the NYOS skimmer tomorrow, and then will tackle the plumbing for the Vectra L1 return pump next. New video in the works from the Atlantis Aquarium in Long Island, as well as one from ReefGen's coral farming setup.
