Day 98: A paly that doesn't necessarily live up to its name

I have had a certain type of Palythoa in my system for years. It is nicknamed "Purple Death" but it rarely appears to be even close to what I see online. Here are some examples displayed by Googles Images.

And these corals are under 20,000K metal halides with VHO Super Actinic VHOs. Why don't they look purple? That got me thinking how some items look different from above in comparison to viewing them from the side (through the tank's glass panes).
I hopped up on the walkboard and used a Top Down Photo Box to see how they looked. What-do-you-know, they kinda do look purple-ish.

Moral of the story: If you want something to look pretty, either view it from above, or photoshop it until you love it.
