The sand they sell looks very clean. I saw it at MACNA. But fine sand will blow around. If you'd used real live rock, the water would have cleared up in 12 to 24 hours. I wouldn't add it for a while because the tank won't have any nutrients. If you have it currently in a bucket, be sure to give it light and drop in some flake food every few days.
