I just missed it, ended yesterday. No biggie, it would have sat in storage till next summer before I'll have a chance to do anything with a new tank. And I have a couple of empty 20L's I could do something with too.
i would have but my fish ate them. The $1 sale was over on the 19th in my area.
I'm heading over there in a few minutes to see if it's still going on here.
Should have put your clothes on sooner.
missed my $1 a gallon sale was going to grab a few more 40 breeders. Guess next time
I've had it in the back of my mind for a few years to do a lagoon/seagrass tank. I could move my currently cramped for space open brains to it.
You could get a few of them.
You don't like my afro haired snail? LOL There's still a few patches of turf algae around the tank, but I feel that makes it look more natural and of course provides a breeding and hiding place for pods. But compared to the constant severe algae I battled for years, this is awesome. I'll have to dig up a couple old photos to show people what we're talking about.
Very nice update to read, and I'm happy for you. No algae in the tank compared to in the past. You might want to clean off that snail just to eliminate a source of it spreading.
Thanks, I'm amazed myself at how well it's doing.
Yourreef is really growing nicely, Phil!
Tank is looking great. Great pics.
Thats a nice shot. I know what you mean about taking a picture of them. Here are mine.
Unfortunately, since I took these photos the Kole tang took a definite turn for the worse. In just a few days he got much skinnier looking, and yesterday afternoon I found he'd expired. He'd hardly ever touched any prepared foods since day 1, and I was hoping it was because there was enough natural food for him. He was constantly picking at the rocks and glass after all. But now I'm afraid he either couldn't adapt to prepared foods, or had an intestinal parisite or other illness.
Thanks. And yes, lots of shrooms. They're slowly disappearing, but if you'd like some I'm sure I could spare a few. And the black background is on the to-do list, but then, the 75 gal upgrade is still planned for next summer.
Your tank looks good, Phil. I'd put a black background on it if I were you. It'll make a big difference. Lots of shrooms, though...
He does look a bit then, but that picture is much better than the first pic of him you posted
The colour on the kole is excellent, the purple is beautiful.
Yeah, I really owe him big time. This is a huge piece, with gorgeous colors.
That is beautiful! Love the color too.
