Basic full overview of the system
My new set up has finally become a reality. My first tank was a 40 breeder with DIY overflow, stand, and sump. This first tank was running for just a few days short of a year. I posted a blog on it here. I guess I would call my experience with this tank a success. A few hiccups here and there, but no major crashes or deaths. Here is my first saltwater tank which was set up in April of 2009. I have always liked the footprint of the 40 gallon breeder because I think it makes the tank seem larger than it actually is. The tank was drilled and fitted with a DIY overflow box made out of black acrylic along with a durso standpipe. I picked up some established LR from local reefers.
