There is a small window in the filter room but I may need to put in a exhaust fan. I have about a 10 degree temp change from main floor to basement. I hope it will be enought, If not I will need a chiller. In my 90 gal I am nursing it back from years I abuse. There's 2 long tentical anemones which have shrunk in size, 2 clowns (1 is the first fish I have bought 8 years ago) with a box fish, enormous amount of blue and green mushrooms. Could not get anything else to grow. I need to spend more time on making sure quality of water is there.
Wow, that's not the post I was expecting after the first few sentences. Way to bounce back! It sounds like you've gotten quite a bit of good gear so far. Maintenance is key, and water quality needs to be measured and tracked to keep it stable. Cheatomorpha is really one of the better choices. If you wanted other plant life, mangroves would be fun to add some diversity, but remember the new system won't provide much in the way of nutrients. As it matures you can add more plants; too many at the beginning will result in starved plants that die off. Are you going to add ventilation to the basement to keep the moisture under control? What about temperature control?
