  1. New door to the fishroom.

    by , 11-30-2011 at 07:17 PM (180g Tank Build - 11 mos. and counting.)
Almost done with the new entry way to the fishroom. Installed a pre-hung door, added some framing, sheet rocked, and taped and mudded it. Still need to texture, add trim, and paint - but I'm getting close. It's remarkable how quiet the rest of the basement has become. ...and less stinky.

  2. A shocking experience

    by , 11-11-2011 at 07:24 PM (180g Tank Build - 11 mos. and counting.)

  3. Anyone have a favorite movable background between their tank and their fish room?

    by , 11-07-2011 at 12:58 PM (180g Tank Build - 11 mos. and counting.)
I'm wondering if some type of drawable blind is the answer. I like being able to see my aquarium from the fish room side, but I don't like being able to see my fish room from the front of the aquarium. Any descriptions/pictures would be much appreciated!
  4. DIY 180g Stand build pics

    by , 11-01-2011 at 01:31 AM (180g Tank Build - 11 mos. and counting.)
My Dad was in town over Xmas last year and helped me out with the finishing touches on the hickory stand I built for my 180g reef. I was pleased with how it turned out - matches the bathroom and kitchen cabinets and lends a little class to the basement while distracting guests from the ugly fish room behind the aquarium.
