Ive had the 3 species of acans in my tank for about two months now and I am noticing them turning white on the tops? I run all LEDs and they are in the sand bed but one that I had mid level in my structure has also gone white. These acans are all reproducing very quickly one of which has grown 6 heads from the original 3 that I had a month ago. My levels are all perfect Nitrate and Nitrite 0 Phosphates 0 pH 8.4 calcium 450-500 and Alkalinity 9. All of my other corals are doing very well and I have ...
Hello I just got some new frags from the LEAR fragswap in ohio where i was happy to see and talk to fellow reef addict @gist41980 and as of an hour ago were released into the tank after their dip. In the process a small amount of Interceptor got into my display tank. This will only kill shrimp and not my corals and clams right? if not and i need to do something please let me know. thank you, Blake
For the past 2 months I have had the pest macroalgae, Briopsis, growing in my tank and it is starting to get really bad IMO. Now i know the only sure fire way to get rid of this stuff is to raise my magnesium levels to at least 1500 ppm. But I have an SPS dominated tank and raising the magnesium too fast or at all could kill them all off. However, I have nowhere to put them while raising the magnesium levels. So I have a 100 gallon tank and a 30 gallon sump and my question is how to raise my magnesium ...

Hey guys I have a tank that I'm doing a refugium onand I was thinking about using refugium mud more specifically a product called Fiji mud/Fiji gold by Walt Smith. So has anyone ever used this product and or does anyone prefer sand over mud? A product review would also be appreciated
well.... i just bought a giant Australian elegance coral last night and i was un-aware of there terrible survival rates in the captivity, Nothing is wrong with the coral as of now (knock on wood) so hopefully it will not get elegance flu and die on me (knock on wood). But with my luck it probably will, However i also purchased two Acans that are nothing short of beauty in its purest form. I hear they are much better in captivity.. hardy even! however there will be no more pre-researched purchases ...
