The glass shield on MH bulbs in to cut down the UV radiation as the bulbs emit quit a bit of it and there for the glass shield should never be removed.

I wish the pictures were a bit bigger on his site so we could see more detail. Nice find.

Lol. Be careful. those UVs are bad for you and corals. I think this is a good example to show everyone why they need that UV glass on the DE MH setups.
More importantly, how are your 'corals'?
Two more days in my hometown, if you have the time left, you have to hit http://www.ichthythings.com/
Whatever. You knew going in that this wasn't going to last. LOL EDIT: For the record, you broke up with me first.

I was checking my lj accont earlier, and spotted one of these little guys in an icon over there. You're all famous & stuff!!!! lol
hehe interesting.. Hey Jessy, how do you get a picture in your post like that? When I uploaded my pictures they all show up small and you have to click them.. I guess it all in how you upload it to your post but I could only see one way when I tried.
What kind of strange fish is that? How do you maintain flow in that tank?
That is a pretty big fish tank in comparison the the little guy.
Great to see that you're looking for a new tank Jessy! Shortly after you took down your 150, I too sold my 150,75, and 20g reefs due to a move for work. I'm all settled in now and getting ready to start a 50g nano build!
Whoa, wait a minute... The person posing as Jessy, WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH JESSY??? You are way too good looking to be a Reef Geek!!!!
I thought a nano would be the perfect way to get back into the hobby after a break. Not long after I upgraded to my current 55, which will make a good sump in my next tank, a 150 or so. I'm sure I'll get tired of it eventually and go 300+...
Sounds like you need a solana!
