I just got this email today. Marc, The filters arrived sometime yesterday afternoon, and was installed successfully--thanks to your detailed instructions Almost caused a man-made lake to occur in my kitchen in the process, but overall it's worth the change and now my TDS readings are back to normal! Thank you! --Ignatius

I cant believe you guys didn't like this..... I give this guy a standing ovation!!!!!! BRAVO!..........BRAVO!.......... LOL... that is just to much!
That is just too much. I f I didn't know better I would swear I was listening to some other podcast that used to be around.
Too embarrassed to watch the rest.
I can't believe this actually exists. LOL
I have to agree Jesse. I bought the same one in August of 08 as well. I just recently started seeing .05ppt on my TDS meeter so I replaced all 4 cartridges. Works great, but I am considering getting the new one. :0
My nicely priced DI resin arrived the other day and is performing well.
Yeah, that's exactly what I've done. It's happened twice now since I moved to where light hits. I was thinking of bagging them or something to block light, maybe get longer use out of cartridges. I also really use the back flow/flush to clean out alot, like every 5 g or so, cartidges have lasted alot longer since.
Perhaps you can put something up to shield those housings from daylight. Be sure that when you remove them for filter replacements that you clean them thoroughly. I would use warm soapy water or bleach & water to clean them, rinse them very very carefully and allow them to air dry overnight. The next day, reassemble - hand tightening only so you don't crack the housings. Thanks for the entry, Jessy.
Man, I JUST ordered new cartridges for my FGuys unit, would have rather gone here(providing compatible which I see no obvious reasons why not) Maybe next time. I like the tinted cartridge housings, mine is setup pretty much identical to these pics, and I think daylight might be affecting unit as I see green film algae start when cartridges get old.(mine are clear)
The first one looked fun. We should make those and sell em!

Those are entertaining pics but I would put them more into an "art" category due to alot of photoshop work done to most of them. I enjoyed the other categories as much as the fish. I did however have to send my son away to look at one of the categories. Soo much skin for a seven year old boy.
You don't currently have a reef tank. So how about "Former Reef Hottie?"
