One part of MACNA that I know everyone loves is getting freebies from the various vendors. I think it's in our inherent nature to acquire stuff that didn't cost a dime, hauling our score back to the hotel room and eventually home. Earlier this month, I went to Las Vegas for my first time ever. While in town, I had to make it a point to visit Acrylic Tank Manufacturing, or ATM for short. Before my arrival, I had spoken to Brett Raymer via facebook to hopefully meet up, but it turned out he was stuck in California for the week. For the last day of the year, I better get in this holiday related sand sculpture I saw at one hotel on O'ahu. It was impressive how this guy (I didn't see any other minions) was able to build this from 20 tons of sand. Finally something I recognize - acrylic panels were put up to protect the art. ...
