It's been forever since I've posted so I figure it's time I get back on and give an update on my tank!

What I'm working with:
75 gallon tank
2 mp10w es
15 gallon sump with completely undersized skimmer
Mag 9.5 return pump
8 x 54watt T-5's

The tank started as a quest to make a completely soft coral tank. And then my quest to keep a Orange Spotted Filefish began, and Acropora started entering the tank. My quest failed, all I had to show for it ...

Getting ready to go on vacation to sweet San Diego and irony strikes.

Showing Mom how easy it is to take care of the tank thanks to my Reefkeeper 2, and I drop it in water. Absolutely fried. Now I have to come up with a timer, replace my less reliable heater and hope for the best. Bad times man, bad times!

So, I know San Diego is Jessy's stomping ground, what fish stores are the ones to visit? Anyone?

What disasters struck your tank before vacation?

It's driving Marc(melev) nuts!

And besides, once it's categorized, people looking to find some diy lighting help can find it! Or that sweet full tank shot you posted that got buried in new posts can be found and live a whole new life of glory when others are looking for inspiration and find your awesome build!

But mostly I think it's driving melev nuts.

Long long week and a half. A friend getting out left me with a bunch of live rock. And two tomato clowns. The clowns are fine, but the live rock required some re-aquascaping and another tank being started. It looks ok, pictures later.
Trying to quit smoking before re-aquascaping however, terrible. Bad times man. Totally leaving me drained as I'm not drinking caffeine either. Hard to gain motivation to even change water, and I love water changes!

December 2010- My losing battle with Nitrate reaches an all time high, at an excess of 80ppm. An executive decision is made, and a spare phosban reactor is commissioned to begin running two little fishies npx pellets.
