Well upon encouragement from Melev I am attempting SPS once again. I went to the LFS Saturday and found these specimens: The above SPS is purple with small green polyps, It was next to the below acroporas but I couldn't get an ID from the LFS nor have I seen this particular growth style online yet. There are actually two different acropora on this rock with a small frag of the green left ...
I finally did the one thing with this hobby I swore I would never do. Not that what I did was a necessarily bad thing but I just had a hard time convincing myself that it was worth it. What exactly is it you might ask? I finally broke down and purchased a Vortech Mp40. That's right I swore to myself that I would never spend that much money on what always amounted in my head to a very expensive power head but, as I have gained a very generous promotion at work and would like nothing more but to see ...

As of last Sunday I won 4 millepora at an average of 6.00 each plus shipping and they all arrived today alive and the "hair" tentacle things are already showing on most of them (more than I ever saw on any other ...
Currently I am running a 6 bulb t5 setup at 54 watts a piece on a 48' long 75 gallon that hand about 3" above the water. Well everything finally came in and so my day was spent putting it all together aside from the bio pellet reactor. I had requested a completely different one but to make a long story short Coral Vue sent me this bohemoth to make up for the delay, unfortunately I have no use for a reactor this big and will be trading it in on one a little more tank size appropriate (if they had sent me a larger skimmer that would be a different story though) Now that ...
