Just a quick update on the current status of my tank and newest attempt at acropora as well as an update on a couple of others. Fist off I am excited to say that it appears I seem to be getting some new growth at the tips of my acropora and also I seem to have some very nice coloration changes in the new growth on the tips. All of the polyps are very open and eager at all times. I am currently still dosing prodiobio, digest, and reefbooster every two weeks and I am target feeding the ...
Well upon encouragement from Melev I am attempting SPS once again. I went to the LFS Saturday and found these specimens: The above SPS is purple with small green polyps, It was next to the below acroporas but I couldn't get an ID from the LFS nor have I seen this particular growth style online yet. There are actually two different acropora on this rock with a small frag of the green left ...

I am fighting a fairly large hair algae problem currently and I think it stems from me not adding any live rock when I did the tank restart at the beginning ...
A couple little quick hits I wanted to share. As of Sunday December 23rd I officially added the first sps corals to the newly restarted tank. The best coral LFS in the area started ordering from ORA and have hired better employees that have that store really turning around so seeing some SPS I really could not resist so I purchased a purpleish acropora and a BoP Birdsnest which I dipped, acclimated, dimmed the lights down a bit, and within 10 minutes of placing them in the tank the polyps were fully ...
