  1. Spent Father's Day and Tuesday with the tank.....

My wife and son were kind enough to let me sit around the house, leave me alone, and work on the tank all day father's day and today. I completed 2 out of 3 things I set out to accomplish. The First things was to tackle my Ph issue, I noticed while the canopy was off the Ph would rise meaning that it was not getting enough fresh o2 in the transfer between the top of the water and the air so as you can see by the pictures I set out to try and remedy that particular issue. I have a cat the jump on ...

  2. clownfish are starting to get a little out of hand...

Well as some of you may remember I recently posted on how my ocellaris female was starting to ravage my hands, well it seems to be progressively moving towards me and my poor yellow tail damsel as they are now keeping it isolated to it's own little area and do not allow any other fish in half of the 75 gallon except for the small clown goby. I write because I am considering taking my ocellaris pair that I have had for over a year in to trade them for a new pair I believe that I have given them ...

  3. Is my ocellaris ready to spawn? or does it just hate me?

So lately my female ocellaris has developed a renowned aggression towards my hand (she shows no agression towards any other inhabitant of the tank and even ignores the yellow tail damsel that tries to pick a fight with her.) Not only will she swim clear across my 75 gallon as fast as she can to attack me she now will even jump out of the water at my hand during feeding, maintenance, cleaning before I have even stuck my hand in the tank!
The male used to attack me but never to this extent, ...

  5. Just Go In Already!

well I seem to have some interesting things transpiring in my tank, first off my female ocellaris seems to be hanging out near the Rose BTA, which might I add is on the opposite side of the tank from her beloved zoos but what makes this a little more interesting to watch is that the BTA is in an area that the yellow tail damsel has called home for quite some time, they have been together for a long time and do not fight (in fact when they were younger they used to school together) but they seem ...
