  1. rolling death in my tank a little help needed please!

All my parameters seem fine, water changes have been occurring like normal, I seem to have what I can only describe as rolling death. It started in on tiny area of my tank I noticed a few of my blue clove polyps not opening up and that was about 4 days ago. Now it has spread out to about a 8-10 inch area and claimed my only acropora that was finally starting to show new signs of life yesterday it was fine and that area was untouched and today the acro is nothing but skeleton and the area continues ...
  2. ReefGeek.com partial review + new T5 bulbs: to be continued...

So as anyone who read my last Blog knows I Recently ordered some new T5 bulbs from ReefGeek.com seeing as I am unable to buy any quality bulbs locally. Placing the order was simple and painless and the pricing was good. Immediately after placing the order I received a phone call from ReefGeek to notify me that 3 of the bulbs I had ordered were not currently in stock and they offered to replace the bulbs ordered with some comparable ones that were actually a more expensive bulb at no extra cost (they ...
  3. T5 bulb question

I was looking at upgrading to a metal halide/t5 combo that I had found that was within my immediate price range but have decided (since the fixture I was looking at has reports of it catching fire) to try look at the possibility that maybe my current combination of bulbs could be replaced with a more optimal brand/combination. As of right now I am using the coralife actinic and daylights 10,000 in a 50/50 combination. The daylight almost seems overpowering to me and looks almost yellow which I wasn't ...

  5. Tank update

Well it's been a while since I have wrote a tank update so here we go. I am still fighting the caulerpa outbreak in my tank but with regular trimmings and one of my newest tank addition (a yellow tang) it is starting to come under control a bit.

My wife found that there was water magically appearing around the tank and after further investigation I discovered my pump was leaking that cycled water in my closed loop system. I have yet to get the time to try and figure out a new way of ...
