So I hooked up my dual Durso standpipes and I didn't like the results at all. So I looked around for ideas on making the overflow quiet and I came across the "Bean Animal" Silent and Safe Overflow method on Reef Central. The existing overflow had a single drain but I also had a glass lined area used for a return line so that nothing had to run behind the tank.
