I vote Morton!
No, the rbta seems to be staying put. It migrated from the top of that rock to the bottom, and has stayed there for the last two months. I sincerely doubt this guy will do anything as crazy as releasing from the rock when he has so many other nooks and crannies nearby to explore. As for the cloudy water.... Sigh. I'm in the middle of eliminating my frag tanks from my system. That's where my filter sock has lived. I'm doing some deep thinking on where I can put it in the sump. (Read: I'm waiting for Jon to figure it out for me, lol) Until then, my super-sugar-fine sand is putting minute amounts of sediment into the water coulumn, and it isn't being filtered out. I do have to fine tune the closed loop outputs, which happen to be an inch above the sandbed. (Okay, that should read: Waiting for Jon to do that for me as well) Anyhow, I'm sure we'll get the issues figured out sooner or later, lol! Probably not before MACNA, though. I forbade Jon to make any more adjustments or improvements to the tank's plumbing til after we return from our vacation. I totally trust my tank/dog/cat sitter, but he SO doesn't need to troubleshoot!
Nu uh!!! It's name obviously has to be Molly!!! ( Although it's a male....) Hmmm.... lol!
I like it. You've got a tank full of livestock and the water is staying in the system. How's the water? It looks a tiny bit cloudy in these images. Any concerns about the RBTA being that close to a closed loop intake?
Let's name it Tetra!
you can do it ( I did it ) but takes years off the fishes life and adds stress. but just saying
that is not fair using fresh water fish...I thought it looked like a fresh water fish but I suck with names.
Lol... My first thought was it looked like a Molly. I didn't know you could turn them into a marine fish. Once again, y'all have an awesome looking reef! ;-)
Awwww, that wasn't anywhere near as fun as I thought it'd be! lol You got it! It's a gold dust molly that I acclimated to full salt. I need to get him some buddies. He tries to school (or aggregate, whatever mollies do) with my lyretail anthias. The male does NOT appreciate it, lol. I like him though! And you certainly can't beat brightly colored, non agressive fish for around $5.
Looks like some sort of a Molly.....
Thanks, Mike. I'm going to go back in and add a pic of the back, too.
Looks good Amy!

Ah, yes. The wires. I did crop this pic, but we're running temporary lighting thanks to our upgrade in size. The permanent canopy will have wiring routed properly, I promise. The tank is actually set up peninsula style since we have three sides viewable. (Two long, and one short) The opposite short end where my overflow and all the plumbing are located is painted black. Also, I've changed things in the display already, lol! I'll update pics in the next few weeks. Probably. I should also mention we've decided to break down the frag tanks downstairs. I'm feeling stretched a bit thin responsibility-wise, and that is one easy thing to eliminate. We're replacing the frag tanks with another display, however. I picked up a 90 full set up for pennies on the dollar, and I'm in the process of transforming it into an agressive/predator tank. I have a frogfish already, and am planning to add a fu manchu lion, a long nosed hawkfish, and a trigger of some sort. I've envisioned a lagoon style tank, full of softies, leathers, zoa/palys, macro algae and/or sea grasses. I'll have to see if my aquascaping reality matches the vision, lol!
maybe a background or some paint to hide the wires in the rear of the tank. other than that it looks great.
I'm actually doing a 90 in more of a lagoon style, so I'll be looking into seagrass for that tank.
I think several tufts of seagrass would look great in there. Not sure if the hippo would have an issue that though.
Looking good already, bet y'all glad it's up and running! ;-)
LOL, thanks Marc. The tank is holding water finally.
