  1. Auto Top Off - Vendor Experience

Some of you know me as a relative newbie... less than a year in the hobby... and that while I read RA constantly I rarely blog. I had a recent experience with a vendor that I just cant help but share with the group.

Last summer we purchased an auto top-off kit from Aquahub, assembled and installed it per the enclosed instructions and it ran flawlessly for several months. Yea! No more manual topping off the 75G display and 35G fuge! Suddenly it stopped calling for water as evidenced ...

  2. What to do... what to do???

    Hi all,
Recently came into a standard 29G and cherry stand. Older tank that I sealant stripped (only the inside) then resealed and water tight tested. Always kinda wanted a QT... and always kinda wanted a frag tank.

The DT is 75G w/35G fuge. What is the consensus... set it up as a frag and plumb it to the DT fuge... plumb it to its own fuge... say a 10G long... or set it up independant as a QT? Other ideas?

Come on gangsters... weigh in on this for me! ...
  3. DIY Refugium

    Hi All,
About four weeks into my son's reef build we ran across a used 35G aquarium for $20! So of course we bought it and went to work building a fuge (prior to finding this site). Seems to have made a huge difference in the tank chem... but we are still getting some micro bubbles in the display tank. Wondering if anyone has any wisdom for us? I think it is running about 500gph.... the drawings are below (not to scale):
