id just sell the sump to someone for fw, would be good for a cichlid tank, and build a sump instead of cutting that one up. Im going to run bio pellets in my 180 read and seen alot of good stuff about them. BRS has some good deals on pellet and reactor combo's

A 140g tank with a 200g-rated skimmer is a good plan.
