My 29g has come a long way! I decided to go crazy with an all SPS tank. I got rid of several really nice corals and cut my rock way back, but I absolutely love the tank now! It hurt most getting rid of my Australian Gold Torch Coral, but I gave it to a friend up the road who I knew would take care of it and I'd still get to watch it grow and look great. :-) I'm beginning to become a bit of an SPS Freak... My filtering is currently about 30ml of Biopellets in a NextReef ...
I've been planning my SPS Aquaculture Rack System for several months now. I have all of the equipment now and I'm beginning to put pieces together. Here's the list. Tanks - All tanks have drilled returns and are placed on metal rack systems. 8' tall rack system with three 48"x12"x12" 33g tanks. 5' tall rack system with two 48" long x 20" wide x 16" tall 56g tanks (the bottom tank will be used as the sump) Lighting - Each 33g tank ...
Today I did a bit of work, cleaned the GHA up from the bad RO water I got from a lfs (got my RO/DI unit ordered now), cleaned out my reactor and replaced my chemi-pure elite and purigen. Also grabbed a few frags from Tony (Grimreefer on DFWMAS)... of course they were more like mini-colonies. Tony always exceeds expectations... always. Really loving the tank... and I'm starting to truly run out of room. I keep saying I'm out of space, but I never truly am. I'm guessing I could fit a few more ...
Exciting new stuff for the tank. Got my new reactor and pump installed on the tank and a new fish! The clowns won't be in here for too much longer since they'll be moving to the 10g and I couldn't pass this guy up. Royal Gramma Lawnmower Blenny, I still love this guy. :-) ...
My new 10g AIO is officially up and running. The rock in it has been curing for the last 2 1/2 months. This tank is the future home of my clown fish pair and a BTA. I put some black acrylic on the inside to hide the filtration. I thought I'd rather do that than black spray paint. It looks a touch off with the silicone right now, but I think it'll look better when it's wet. I decided if it didn't look right I would likely build some wood pieces down the side of the canopy to hide ...
