  1. 42 Gallon Hex build

    The first photo is of the top outer frame assembly complete(top view). Around the white area is trim with the top at a 15 degree down angle to keep any splashed water in the white area. The back cover also has matching trim that ovelaps this trim so any water that is dripping down the side of the back cover will remain in the white area. The second photo of the top frame assembly complete(bottom view) shows the router pattern to allow the frame to cover the top of the side panels and back cabinet ...

    The first 2 photos are of the diverter used to channel any water spilled at the back of the tank to the stand. The third photo is of the diverter in place without the trim around the top. this view is from the top of the cabinet. The forth photo is from the top with the trim glued in place.     The first photo is of the center divider (for the cabinet attached to the back panel) and the bulkhead panel (for the conduit from the front electronics compartment in the stand). As with the other areas of this project the white painted areas is for the wet area and the black painted areas is for the electronics.     The second photo is of the parts for top of the back cover for mouting the exhaust fans for the wet area. The fans are shown with the rest of the parts. This will have some modifications on the final assembly, but mostly minor..The first and third photos are of the top frame assebly for the back cover.     The first two photos are the parts of the sides to the back cover. The third photo is of the parts to the back of the back cover. This has been changed since the photo. It now has a solid back. I was going to put a panel in and decided that would not work water from spills that would get in the panel slots of the rails and stiles.
