Lighting descriptions
Hey guys, just checking in to show the progress I've made. Over the past week I had a 90 gallon tank and stand listed on Craigslist. I didn't know how fast it would go, but I listed it on the high side of what I found in my area. By Thursday of last week the tank (shown below) sold!! So, I'm beginning this blog entry before I upload my pictures. A few days ago I wrote up a blog entry showing a picture that made me think my tank had microbubbles in it. To date it appears better to me, but for comparison's sake I took a few pictures of the tank last night. I have been looking pretty heavily at making my own lighting for a new 75 gallon tank I just got. I'm debating whether to make an LED fixture or use MH lamps. I am wondering what the light output need would be for a standard sized 75 gallon (I realize LED and MH are different so whichever you guys know more about, please fill me in!). I would like to ensure that I can care for SPS corals adequately (the tank is 21" deep). Also, I am planning on hanging them 6 - 8 inches above the tank if ...
