Entries pertaining to plumbing
So, I'm beginning this blog entry before I upload my pictures. A few days ago I wrote up a blog entry showing a picture that made me think my tank had microbubbles in it. To date it appears better to me, but for comparison's sake I took a few pictures of the tank last night. In one picture the scenario is comparable to the scenario under which the picture from my other post was taken. In the other I have turned off the protein skimmer and then actually shut off the return (for those unfamiliar ...
So I believe I have microbubbles getting into the main tank. I was looking at the water in my skimmer section today and noticed that it had a decent amount of froth on the water's surface (nothing spectacular just some definite buildup of frothy sections). Hope you all enjoy the pictures when I get a minute to post them this evening! Okay, so as promised, here ...

Here's my tank filled as high as I can currently fill it (the plumbing and overflow box aren't totally finished yet): At the water's highest point I went ahead and measured the distance from the rim to the water line at all 4 corners. The right hand side of the tank is 1/4" lower than the left hand side of the tank (the ...
