Hello Everyone, I know on the Melev's Reef Site there is an article on how to Wire up a Switch to turn on/off several powerheads for feeding time... Does anyone have a link to that post? I know I can do this, but, it's always better with a little extra help on the side. Thanks Aaron
My 120 gallon tank is 60 Inches in length, 18 inches deep. Can I manage it with a 48 inch Fixture? Or do I need the full 60 inches on top covered with light? Am leaning towards the http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.co...0&pcatid=21460 This fixture will give me dawn, daylight and night time lights/control. Thoughts??? Ideas??? Thanks Everyone, Aaron
Well, My LFS advised me to try the chemical - Stability; to Cycle the tank with and after a weeks worth these are the readings taken at noon today. temp - 80.5 SG - 1.024 PH - 8.0 Ammon - 0.00 ppm Nitrite - 0.00 ppm Nitrate - 20 ppm. I dont have test kits yet for Alkalinity or calcium... Am thinking that a 10% water change is in order and to see what the Nitrate comes down to???? or perhaps a 20%?? ...
Well, after having the live rock in the tank for about a week, this "critter" was finally large enough to take a photo of. Not sure what he is, but am Happy none the less that he's here. I would think he's some sorta filter feeder? Anyways, Slow news day here in New Mexico... lol. Aaron
Does any one have these and are they any good for Fish AND Corals. I know in asking "corals" that there are soft and hard corals, as a newbie, I havent figured out whats what in that category...If the marineland Reef Lighting will work on 1 type, I'd be pretty set with that option... Does anyones LFS use these in a DT in the store??? Opinions? Thoughts??? Thanks, Aaron
