new site! can't wait, replacing melevsreef or reef addicts? or all new?
I will, I promise. I have lots to share that has taken place over the past four months... I just needed time to get images edited and text written.

When the new version of my site rolls out, there's an entire section dedicated to the 400g reef with images and descriptions. It should be easy to navigate and allows sharing to others directly.
The Potters Angel hasn't been a problem, and Flame Angels are 50/50. The African Flameback should be fine as well. These are young and I feed heavily so I'm hoping for the best. John Coppolino (copps) has a full-blown reef full of angels.
Awesome pickup Marc! I have been thinking of something similar for my tank eventually
Damn, makes me wish I had family living in the ATL. jmaneyapanda, Where does the air go in the media reactor? How often do you replace the air stones in the reactor? also do you have a diagram or flow chart of the fish room. what does the coral system sump consist of? thanks
melev let us know how it goes. I'm getting REALLY REALLY tired of my DA elite and I've been considering this as a replacement.
Yeah, won't they nip on your zoo's and lps?

funny, i almost ordered a flame yesterday but didnt want it to nip my lps. went with something a little safer, goby. but also a royal gramma and a sun coral, probably on friday also!
Did yours come with a brand new pH probe? Be sure to have calibration solution (7 & 10). When I have the pictures of the actual items, I'll describe how I set it up as best I can. I did have some help. There's a heck of a manual called The Unofficial Guide to the Apex Controller that is 148 pages long.
Let us know if you have any tips to stetting one up. I had mine for a week but the PH ports seemed to be faulty so after a week of emails i sent it back to the the guys at Neptune and they should have it today. Hopefully i can get it back by end of next week and start setting it up to automate some things. PS i am sure i am the oddball with this issue as i have yet to see this issue with another apex users.
awesome. I can't wait to get mine. But It's been on backorder for almost 2 weeks!
Um, wow. Very nice.
that store is amazing. So clean and high end!
Yeah, I figured you were using a tripod, or atleast a very steady prop. Pictures that sharp in really low lighting are very hard to achieve without a stable rest. Do you use a remote release as well?
The fifth picture is a tongue plate coral from Australia. I've had it for a few years. The valonia is in the frag tank where I keep and feed the sun corals. The last picture is my new black suncoral, but it closed up when the flashlight hit it. I hope to get a really good representation of that coral for y'all to see because it is a stunner. The skin on the skeleton is deep dark green, not black (unlike the image above) and the polyps are huge and open during the dark hours. I did use a tripod Blake. I think it was ISO 320, f/3.5, with a shutter speed around 200th/sec - I'll have to check the exif of the originals to know for sure.
Nice pics... Your flashlight pics look better than many of my lights on pics...Just reinforces the idea that I need to get a DSLR and a good tripod.
damn valonia!
