Since I ordered parts from two different companies, I didn't get everything yet. Here's what arrived yesterday. Black rigid PVC pipe. All kinds of bits and baubles. Bunny doesn't care.
Everyone has been asking me about the new sump, and what its layout will be. I'm still thinking about my options, and nothing is set in stone. I really like the idea of a tunnel for some reason. If I can pull that off, so be it. If 1" of water drains from the display tank, that equals 13g of water. Plus whatever is in the plumbing. This sump was a new design I came up with. To fit the stand, its footprint had to be 60 x 24 which left space for an external Dart pump. Here's my sketch. Note the way the water has to travel through the sump and finally exit. It has the option to run filter socks or use the bubble tower. My customer decided to send me his Deltec skimmer to make sure it would fit. This sump was quite heavy, made ...
