Hmmm.... 6K for a fish... I don't think my addiction is that severe... At least not yet.
We should have them donate it to the MACNA raffle.
and for the low low price of 5,999.99 you can own it!
Keep up the good work! Before you know it, you will have the 400 back and all your friends you helped and gave frags too, will soon return the favor....

I'm tempted to simply build a new frag tank that doesn't deflect so much anyway. Great time for a reset. The polyps that come out are white and very fine like hair. From time to time, I'll toss some Valonia into the tank for Spock since she loves the stuff.

You've got some beautiful coral (and fish) that's for sure. The acans and the lobo are gorgeous and it's good to see some of your sps colonies still hanging on. Really impressive considering all that's happened.

love those mini carpets, and those acans are awesome.
Sorry to hear it...what a pain...hang in there, we're all cheering for ya.
No, I'm still waiting for that phone call from the trucking company.
Did they get the tank?
Hope it won't be too long for us to see pics of it going in again!!! Please do update on the real cause of the failure when you have a confirmation from teh manufacturer as well as the modifications on the repair if there are any.
Sure my lighting is setup up to turn on at 10:00am and ramp up to 100% all colors in a 60 minute period and at 8:00pm the white light ramp off in 30 minutes to just use the blue and royal blue at 100% then at 9:00pm the blues ramp down to off in 60 mins. also run 2 thunderstorms a day.
that's a HUGE middle brace Marc. I can see how that would be annoying. I had two 6" x 2" thick braces on my tank but they did not annoy me at all. That's a MUCH smaller percentage of the tank area though.
Blake, there are a ton of people that have done the DIY euro braces. In fact, I think it got its start from DIY'ers like you. You should be able to find plenty of sites showing what others have done. A75g is not that big, I wouldn't thing it would be all that dependent on the perfect silicone job.
Sounds like a similar set up to the 75. It's 48" long and has a 12" glass centerbrace with 18" open on each end. I've wondered if I shouldn't cut it out, order some 2" wide glass strips and diy a eurobrace top for the tank, but honestly, I'm just not sure enough about my siliconing skills. Atleast my centerbrace is only half as wide as yours, so hopefully it will be a little easier to work around.
They ran several episodes tonight. The first one was a "best of" show, and the 10-11pm episode was the new one. I don't know if it aired earlier, because I have my DVR set up to capture Tanked when it airs. The centerbrace of this tank is 23.5" wide. The entire tank is 72" including the plastic trim. Basically one-third of the tank is covered in permanent glass, only giving access to the two ends. I'll have to take a picture of the top so you can see it. Remember, I've not had anything in my way since 1998 for a reason. All of my tanks were full access. On second thought, the 55g was up for two years and had that middle plastic brace that bugged me.
You've mentioned how hard it is to work around that center brace a couple of times now. This worries me as my new tank has a 12" center brace. How wide is the center brace on a 215 as opposed to a 75? I must have seen the rerun instead of the new show (Tanked). The one I saw was a nail polish tank and a school bus.
