Marc what version of Photoshop are you using now.
I enjoyed that one Marc, he diffinetly lucked out being in the right place at he right time.
These are battling algae and the green sponge that's trying to over-run them.
They remind me of Daisy Polyps, but the ones I saw were fuller. Maybe these are limping along due to water quality and will improve in time.
Marc, thank for the refresher. I read though some of your photography articles today, as well as the site you linked to from your home page. I just did a bit more playing around with my little digicam and IrfanView. Here's the best one, much better than what I was getting the last couple days. I set the ISO back down to 100 and used a tripod and the delay timer to prevent any vibration. EDIT: Does anyone know what these polyps are? They don't look like the normal green stars.
They are photosynthetic, and need to be target fed at least twice a week.
Are they photosynthetic or do they need daily feeding like the sun corals?
I wish my lfs carried them :'(
These are Dendrophyllia polyps, where are three times the size of Tubastrea (sun corals). They cost more, but are open during the day time.
I love those sun corals, eventually I will have to get some if I ever get this tank going.
What's that work out to in $$/oz? I'm betting that thing is the most precious substance on earth!
Those Acans are awesome Marc. Almost makes me reconsider my SPS dominated upgrade plans...almost. My experience with Mithrax crabs is that you only seem them when food is scarce. If they're full, they hide very well. So I'm betting they're still in there somewhere.
Update: Put it all together today and it is working like it never happened. I shortened the chimney to reduce the amount of surface area Spock can drag against, and applied a fresh strip of Velcro to the acrylic to keep it where it belongs.
Dry white rice also works.
Including my sanity.
i had one do that.... but it just kept spinning and spinning..... and when i pulled the batteries out... it never powered back on.....
Wow, I hope it's OK. I have saved many an item with an alcohol bath!
Nice update Marc! Although it's ya temp tank, it is beautiful. Glad to see everything is doing so well.
I love all the colors in your tank, from the fish to the corals. Amazing! I just hope (when I finally get my butt in gear) that my tank can one day look that amazing! I'd probably stop going to work... So I can just stare at it.
Yea right. Are you going to tell me you were sleeping?
