Hi Ziggy! Sorry I didn't see your post until now, but you can thank Rick for bumping this blog entry back up.

Rick, the stand has been completed since Sept 1. I'm trying to get the room finished and then it will be brought inside. The welder told me that they blast off all the steel (or something like it) to get down to the core of the metal and powdercoat it so it sticks. Since I don't know much about the process, I went with what he stated and time will tell how it does in the fishroom.

If you're going to powder coat, I'd got with a zinc coating first. It might up the price, but it will make the coating last MUCH longer...

Yes, as far as I know. I didn't open the boxes and plug them in, but I also didn't hear shards of glass rattling in the boxes.

I'm so jealous of all these events that happen in the states. I wish there was more incentive for Canada to do some of these. One day I'll get around to going to one just for the hardware.

They have a little deal that hooks onto your belt loop and like keys or whatnot. . . should you get a certain distance away an alarm sounds to remind you to go get it. have to look it up and see if I can find it for ya.
