Your RO tubing run tops mine... I was lazy and just ran it under the house since i'm a rancher. I did however make sure to keep it near the area of the heatpump though so that it wouldn't freeze up if temps got too cold
Yes, it's all about DIY. I was talking to a friend in Austin and he asked why I didn't hire someone to do my sheetrock, and I told him "after pouring the slab of concrete myself, do you really think I'd get someone else to do the sheetrocking? Seriously?"
I've got the Aquacontroller 3 by Neptune Systems. I'm on the fence between the Apex and the Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper Elite Net - so for now I may stick with what I have for a little longer.
looks great marc, i'm know my self and many others we appriciate all the up dates. almost like being pregnant, with all the latest pic's of the development stages. i'm sure youv'e talked about it before but what is the electronics controller your using, i'm getting tired of several power strips and timers with wire going everywhere.
I would love to see where the shark bite/gator bite's aren't legal for commercial use. They both have a 25 year warrenty. As a reef keeper you of all people should know copper pipes are bad. First thing I did was to remove the copper pipes and install pex, helps keep RO/DI a lot purer.
thanks for documenting your remodel with such great photos. are you doing virtually all the work yourself? i'm tired just looking at all the work that little leak has led to!
looks like a massive undertaking, im sure it will be worth it in the end
it works now!! and i really like the 4th picture from the bottom... its a look of amazement. (i think he finally figured how big it is really going to be!!) i want one...........
Try looking again.
wtf, i get home and no pics are working, ugh :-\
FWIW, I have never had any luck with caps for compressions fittings. With about three different attempts each one of them had a very poor seal.
So much for "compression" fittings, right Wes? Tape was definitely needed. I'm sure I can find an older picture Robb. I'm still trying to picture this tank with a clean livingroom. And yes, my son told me the exact same thing - watch the fan; watch the tv, watch the speaker on the wall above the tv. I've been shooting with a Nikon D90 this year, Catherine. My back pain is managed with happy pills. Fortunately, I only have to take 3 or 4 per week, if I'm not overtaxing my body. I may end up getting another spinal injection; the first one really helped, and a second one might do the trick.
Pretty! What camera are you using now? Nikon D-80? A bizarre comment: I have to say I notice a change in your posture between photos of you pre-back problems, and photos of you now!
Dunno about anyone else, but I was all: "watch that ceiling fan!" followed by: "watch the TV!!!!" when looking at the pics. Any chance you have a pic of you standing next to the old tank for comparison?
im not gonna point fingers but someone said teflon tape wasnt needed...MARC! ok, so i lied...had to be done!
It won't be walled in. And Marineland already leak tested it. I'm not worried about that yet. I'd like to get the room done by Thanksgiving, then wehen I get back from that I'll go ahead and start getting the tank up and running.
Watch the fan!!!!
That giant stuffed clown is screaming to be the first fish in the tank.
Things always look messier before they get better don't they. But don't you need to leak test it before you completely wall it in?
Looking good! Do you have an ETA on when you will start to fill the tank?
