Hey everyone. So I will be moving my 40 gal tank soon enough. It is about a 30 min drive away so not tooo too bad. My plan was just to unplug everything.. remove the light, pumps, heater and then about 20 % of the water in the tank. Il just leave everything in there cause its time consuming to take the rock out and livestock.. I have a trailer for my motorcycle that should fit the tank on perfectly. That way it will be in the open and get some breeze on the top of the water so ...
So its been about 4 weeks now with no fish, and its getting pretty long.. lol But it seems that its just getting worse.. things just look ugly.. the algae is getting out of control. I dont have enough flow I think but still.. The day lights are only on 5 hours a day.. my button polyps look real crappy.. gotta get rid of that aiptasia.. the only things that look good are the mushrooms.. Anyone ever gone through this sort of thing?
So my fish got iched right up overnight and I lost my tang.. thought I lost my damsel but I just found him under a rock.. The only method I have right now for ich would be hyposalinity in a 10 gal quarantine.. I have need done this so I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations... Im wondering if i should just leave him in the display tank and im sure hes gonna get better.. but I do want to get rid of this ich.. i mean I might as well at this point right?

Anyways, my putton polyps were looking pretty nice before, and the first day I had the actinics on, but then started going downhill from there.. (have a pic on my profile) I have tried moving them down and too the side, and now i am using something to shade some of the light ...

Can we post stuff about something going wrong here? lol I decided last night to syphon a bit of the substrate, and put a power head to the rocks and back of my rocks cause there has been too much detritus to my likings that was accumilating.. basically sending crap everywhere.. so i did a little water changer afterwards to try and pick up the most i could.. My yellow tang today has quite a few white spots on him... I have never had ich in that tank that I know of, and I know ...
