I planed on using it to feed the display, 2 remote frag tanks and a remote fug but I cant without having full flow I havent been able to tie in the frag tanks to get them started the way the pump is now. half is good enough for the display tanks penductors and the spray bar in the fug even tho at half it is still pulling air but the noise is bearable since it is in the basement.

I could see at full speed it being a problem, that sounds plausible. I usually run mine about 1/2 restriction on the outlet, anything over that and I've got way more flow than I need.

Thats the animal I was talking about, I have a hard time remembering names and such since my accident, It does stick out maybe .030. When you restrict it and slow the motor down it is quite but if let to run at full speed it sounds like a rock crusher. It maybe that the spring cant react fast enough at high speed to keep the seal faces mated due to cavitation. Does that sound plausible to you?

Never said it was your fault, but I know on mine the ceramic in the impeller doesn't sit flush it sticks out 1/8 of an inch. If it was flush it wouldn't touch the spring seal on the back side. Mine is a Barracuda pump so maybe thats the difference.

A standard dial indicator setting on the shaft will tell if you have runout.

It full seated in both impellers and look ok no rough areas blown76mav. I use to rebuild engines and this is pretty simple I dont think It is any of my doing. The fact that this fell apart make really believe it is run out or some kind of cavitation. I had a set up to test run out that I used to test cam lobes and journals from when I worked at a machineshop for awhile but must a have loaned it out and forgot about it, not something you use everyday.

What does the ceramic seal in the impeller look like? How far in does it sit?

From here...sh** aint right....shaft run-out is probably the case. Either way, Reeflo needs to take a look at that and get you set up with a new one. If you have any problems through your initial vendor, email me..I work close with them...

It has been running since April and was bought in February this year and it came from reefspecialtys. 2 seals came from reeflo and 2 from dt aquatics reeflo sent me the impeller as well. It is a marlin uno 2100gph high pressure. I am at a loss I don't have a gauge to check for shaft run-out which is the last thing I can think of.

Could you just change the main page colors to match the forum colors? Kinda generic I know but maybe it would be easier?

thanks I darken it and the forums are a pima I just cant find how to do anything with them I hope when I get it moved into wordpress it will help. For being a open source app I cant find anything easy to follow for the web impaired like myself. I have had a hard enough time learning the html and css to get the site the same but looks like php will be my next project

I'd change the font color on the front page, the descriptive stuff, to something darker. It blends a bit too well into the background.

My only other feedback is the change going to the forum makes it feel like you are being sent to a new website. I'd try to integrate the colors more if you can.

Please take this feedback with a grain of salt. My computer skills consist of turning one on and off.
