  2. Two fine wrasses

    It will be two weeks tomorrow since I introduced 3 blue star leopard wrasses to my tank. They are known to be easily stressed but I took some precautions, as described in my last blog entry. After introduction into the tank the wrasses will generally bury themselves in the sand bed, sometimes for a week+.

  3. Blue Star Leopard Wrasse

    I wanted to announce I have joined the wrasse club for the first time (I have an ever growing affection for wrasses), more specifically the Blue Star Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon bipartitus) club.

  4. Pictures from Above

    Some random guy named Marc, who posts here every now and then, opines that corals are best viewed and photographed from above. When the pumps are off during feeding I too, like to view the tank from above through the still surface. Last night I took a few pictures, though without the benefit of a top down photo box (someday I would like to get one, but I am busting the budget still buying frags and fish for my relatively new setup). The frags are still small, but growing!

  5. Baby Banded Coral Shrimp (video)

    Well I posted pictures of the pregnant banded coral shrimp yesterday and she popped last night at about 11pm. I saw some babies alive and kicking in my corner overflow and in the refugium this morning. I think any babies in the display take will become Mandarin food.
