This morning I was gazing into the tank when something caught my eye. A Chiton was releasing eggs. It was the first time I had seen this happen and luckily I had my video camera handy. I would also like to thank Mr. Midas Blenny for being a character as usual.
My Beaked Leather Jackets (that is what the Australians call them vs. Orange Spotted File Fish the Americans call them, I like the Aussie name better) continue to do very well. They eat mysis, nutramar ova, flake food, and even sera marin granules. I thought I would take a few quick pictures. This is what they did to my pocillopora. ...
Here is an video update of my tank. The orange spot file fish are eating just about everything I put in the tank, flakes, pellets, mysis and their favorite nutramar ova. All three leopard wrasses are doing very well too. The banded coral shrimp actually released babies again last night. The corals are growing well (as far as my newbie eyes can tell) under my led lights.

Some random guy named Marc, who posts here every now and then, opines that corals are best viewed and photographed from above. When the pumps are off during feeding I too, like to view the tank from above through the still surface. Last night I took a few pictures, though without the benefit of a top down photo box (someday I would like to get one, but I am busting the budget still buying frags and fish for my relatively new setup). The frags are still small, but growing! Red Planet ...
