Phil, I work in Oil & Gas, specifically in a field called Joint Venture Contracts, but my educational background is in human anatomy, political science, and biology.
I did send a message to my buddy at an HVAC company and he's going to stop by next weekend to take a look what he can do for us. In exchange I have to do some baking; ginger snaps and red velvet cupcakes, and for desert he's requested BBQed shrimp on my crazy caesar salad. The leg tank is the water tank we ordered for the water change system. I'm glad we didn't take it because I would have worried endlessly about it randomly giving way in the basement one night or one day while we are out of the house. I found a company that does drop offs for only a few days at a time for those big garbage bins. The cost for our ENTIRE reno debris is looking to be somewhere in the $350-$450 range, which is very reasonable when I compare it against us filling up our truck and making multiple trips to the dump. I think we're going to go with this option in the next month or so when we have some cash available to do this.
What tank did they break? Is that a typo in the first sentence? A huge steel dumpster is one method. Another option you may be offered is bulk pickup. You create a pile that doesn't exceed the one specified by your city's code. Once a month, they come through with trucks bearing cranes that hoist it into the giant bed to be hauled away.
Well it bites that things are getting messed up on your plans but at least it is giving you time to work towards some other things, and you have some stuff that can be done as well. Your setup sounds really nice I have always enjoyed being in the basement when I have had one, always quieter, cooler in the summer and my type of place, LOL. I may have a kind of ghetto suggestion for your fan solution. Talk to a local HVAC business and see if they may have some old central heat/air fans that they have replaced with a newer model or replaced the whole unit. They move a ton of air and most of the time they are squirrel fans so they take up very little space. It may be a good solution for your situation and if you need to move a lot of air it will definitely do it. As far as the bins and stuff, I don't know exactly where you live but I know that in the US Waste Management has a deal with the Home Depot where you can get a heavy duty bag that can be filled and then hauled off when you are done with it or it is full. May be a good alternative to a steel dumpster if it is available.

Its definitely going to work out. The interim job has hired me on for lots of work, 6 days a week, 12 hours per day which is lots of overtime, and overtime equates to cash. Cash buys & builds pretty giant tanks that can be passed off as end of the year gifts even if it comes before December 25th! Water container is still enroute, we're going ahead with the purchase anyways, we need it, the tank needs it, and it essentially has already been paid for.

Yeah I do still skate, just finished our season last weekend; undefeated and season champs! I'm stunned I was able to turn it around that quickly. While the interim job will cover the basics, I'll have to find a secondary income source to cover the cost of my tank build, entertainment fund, and anything else I want besides my house, utilities, gas in the car and groceries on the table.

It does, but I have to say, I've been unemployed for about 4 hours now and already have an interim job, and a potential in my field job lined up. Perhaps I don't really need to hit the pause button for too long. I also haven't heard back about cancelling my water container order. I still really want that water container, and am debating how to make it work. In the mean time I'm planning to make one of those tools to electrocute mojanos and aiptasia in my 180g grow out tank. I'm also planning to give that tank some extra lovin' while I'm home.
That sucks. Especially because now you have the time to do the tank, but no money.
Thats exactly what I'm hoping. I'm willing to take any job essentially as long as it pays my bills.

The vent fan is your best bet. I would only run the dehumidifier when it is necessary.

Sweet, thanks! We're not planning on using a chiller so far, but we've left space for one if it should be required down the road.
If you still can definitly go for exhaust fans to outside the house, they're the cheapest solution to deal with not only humidity but also heat that will affect how much your chiller would run. Also exhaust fans will take out any bad smell from feeding or a full skimmer... If possible try to go with one or two vents for the canopy, one for the stand and one for the chiller cabinet or behind the chiller if it's in the stand. One option would be for the chiller exhaust to go in a hood and then into exhaust tubing to outside, For that you'll need very thick tubing.
