by , 11-22-2010 at 12:53 PM (T.I.B.E.T (The Incredibly Big Expensive Tank))
So its another nasty cold winter day here in town, we have some beautiful blowing snow, and some -30 weather. We kept busy, and warm, this past weekend by making one last trip to the dump, cleaning up the floor, getting all of our insulation into the tank room, and getting our blue board up. The glass arrives on Friday, it will just be the tank glass for now. ...

A little bit more progress has been made.

First a shelf was made in the fish room for the leg tank. Below will be the final home of the RO/DI, along with some storage space for additional salt and some bigger supplies. For perspective purposes I'm standing in the doorway, at my right is the utility sink, and to the left is the back of the tank.

  5. Just in time for the holidays

by , 11-04-2010 at 12:18 PM (T.I.B.E.T (The Incredibly Big Expensive Tank))
We finally have a firmer schedule on our tank build!
    - This afternoon; sign off on the build plans with Concept Aquariums (our builder)
    - End of November; glass arrives to the builder
    - December; Tibet is assembled on-site in my basement!

I've been seeing all these posts for clams, and corals, and its killing me not to be buying anything. I am having a hard time exercising patience.

We bought the supplies to make a Majano Zapper. I'm hoping to assemble ...
