Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking about it to help optimize skimming performance mainly.
its old school tech., but with todays advances is much safer and efficient, i know a couple of people who love it just has to be done right and all saftey and equipment precautions taken. make sure your skimmer is ozone safe first off, it will more than likely be run on a timer i dont think i know any one that has it on constantly. and just do as much net research before. but yea ive seen tanks with this and i like them, what reason do you want to run ozone, i thought about to help clean up water a bit more but went with bio pellets instead.
I run an ozonizer and I love it. I find water clarity is just that much better, my skimmer produces thicker, stronger smelling sludge, and I find that pinks, magentas and violets come through brighter in my SPS. I also find that I notice a difference in how my skimmer runs, and in the frequency I need to change my water.
I'm look more for general feedback and opinions. It's not a new technology, perhaps it's something that used to be very popular but now is considered unnecessary? I assume that if it was something people felt is a "must have" then I would hear it being discussed at least a little (much like skimmers are).
I know someone here in San Diego that swears by it. What are your questions exactly? You may get more response that way...or are you just looking for general feedback and opinions?
