I finally finished my sump, just want to know why the water level in the return section is lower then the baffle. is this normal ? also if I add water to that section will that raise the level in the dt.( there is only a 1/4 " of room at the top of the dt.
I want to know if someone has a solution to help remove any excess silicone (not a razor blade). I had to take apart my sump because I used the wrong silicone. I have scraped off what I can, know i was looking to get glass & tank cleaned the best I can so I can reglue it back together.

I really could use some help. Here is my problem, I tried to make my own sump (some may remember when I asked for help ) i thought I had it figured out I was wrong. today I started my sump, I am still having trouble with some noise( not that big a deal), not realy sure how deep to set overflow box inside the tank, my BIG problem is the skimmer is in too much water because I cut my baffles to tall. I went with 8" baffles, i called where i got skimmer from they told me to raise it up i can't ...
