ok sorry its been a while since ive been on. taking 5 classes this summer is a pain. So this is my last blog http://www.reefaddicts.com/entry.php/28019-150g-build. since then ive aded a new light and decided to stay with MH for now, you just cant beat the results from growth and coral. New fixture is a lucky find on craigslist, its a 2x250w and 2x54w t5, i paid $500 for it, brand new in the box unopened so i was happy. Had to track down the hanging kit as its discontinued and also had to extend ...

so i finally got all my equipment and time and set up my 150.

tank is 60x24x24 starphire front oceanic tank
sump is custom built by Elegant Reef here in san antonio(which is where i got all my equipment)24x20 refugium in front
skimmer is a sea side aquatics CS-2
return pump 2x sicce syncra 2.0
2x mp40-es
light is only temp 2x 250 and 2x t5(radions coming soon)

well the time has come to upgrade.......... i have been slowly gearing up and getting equipment ready for my new tank oceanic starphire 150g tank 60x24x24. i will be combining my tank and my girlfriends tank i only have 6 fish a lot of coral and she has about 10-12 fish(more on that when i do build thread for it). so heres a pic i took 3-4 days ago of the 70g, i should be taking it down in a week or so. im excited and anxious as i know stuff will "pop" hopefully the move is smooth. ...

last couple months ive been upgrading stuff added a mp-10, also upgraded to reefkeeper elite 3x pc4, sl1, sl2. auto top off is now controlled by reefkeeper, plan on adding a bubble magus dosing pump soon. this week end i purchased a Trigger System 18x18 sump, so i can put dosing stuff in cabinet. coral is looking the best its ever been, reallly happy with tank. excuse the wire mess that was before i snugged it up.
