Not necessarily minimal live stock...just lots of room for things to grow in I'm a sucker for purple...really like the purple and green kind of rainbow colored one...is that a chalice, favia, acan type coral or more like an encrusting sps type (maybe monti)?

    Looking good!

I had a similar issue with my aquahub top off system recently. Discovered that they've switched to a 24V system from the original 12V system. So the relays they sell won't work with an older power supply. I did find a source for the 12V relays through Amazon, but they took about 3 weeks to arrive.

Neenah, I chose reefkoi mainly due to the application that the lights were needed for. I needed a fixture that would cover a 8 by 52 refugium and I need a kelvin that would grow algae. The fixture that Marc has over his refugium would have worked great also. However, he is got the inside connection for freebies, so the price of mine was better than what I could have gotten his for. Also for a main tank application you may want features like dimming or adjusting the spectrum, I didn't need these.

Is there a reason you chose reefkoi lights over other companies out there? I'm also looking for led lights, I'm trying to do as much research as possible to ensure I make the best choice.

This is a normal fixture they offer, follow the link to view, the Spectrum that this light has is custom.

Coming along nicely. The fuge light seems to fit just about perfect. Is it a special order item, or did you just happen to find one that worked out so well?

I'd probably reduce the light cycle period unless you have a lot of snails to stay ahead of the resulting algae bloom.

Well, nothing has died from the transfer. Getting a bit of brown algae on the rocks. Just letting things settle.

Rock work looks good, its bommie like and isnt your typical massive rock pile in the middle of the tank..

Cool...it's running, yay! I like the rock work...couple of low mounds leaves lots of swim room and room for corals to grow in. Looking forward to this on filling in over the years.
